The Land Speed suit is relatively new creation. Recently, many of the sanctioning bodies have made an effort to standardize the suits to conform to some specific theories. The Land Speed suit is rare in motorcycle racing in that they are not permitted perforated panels and textile stretch panels. This makes for a solid leather suit. It might be the most sturdy suit structurally. It certainly has fewer potential spots for failure than any other suit in the motorcycle range.
