Downhill Skateboarding and Street Luge

The gravity oriented sports have exploded in the last few years. Through big media events like the X Games, Gravity Games, and Red Bull Big Air challenges, these disciplines have become very visible.
And why not? These guys go super fast with no brakes down hills and courses that would intimidate some bicyclists. Throughout these events NJK has been very well represented with riders like the King himself, Biker Sherlock, along with 2001 World Luge Champion Rob Ruhman, multi time gold medalist Dane Van Bommel, the Rogers Bothers, and 2002 Gravity Games stand up gold medalists Mark Golter and Daryl Freeman. These riders have been excellent test riders and their feedback has helped us evolve the gravity suit into a protective, flexible, aerodynamic unit.

We have been the only leathers company to concentrate on developing a gravity specific suit as opposed to an adaptation of a motorcycle suit. The standard downhilling suit comes with any pad configuration the rider desires, soft or armored, and any stretch system. Unfortunately, every rider has a different ideal, and we suggest consulting with us about some of the feedback from different configurations.

Design wise, the downhill suit is also conducive to intricate and progressive design. With the body positions used in the riding, it gives us a great challenge in displaying different graphic concepts. Logo placements can be different on these than most other suits due to body position also.

Downhill and Street luge suits start at $750 and include the following:
- Entire one piece suit constructed leather or Kevlar.
- Last name in two colors on back.
- Any soft pads desired; i.e. knees, seat, elbows, and back.
- Kevlar neck with polar fleece lining.
- Built in poly/nylon lining.
- Brass YKK zippers.
- Two ply leather seat.

Additional options include perforated leather, extensive Kevlar stretch paneling, accordion stretch panels, lettering, design, Velcro knees for knee sliders.
